Future Providers Foundation (the “Foundation”) is the brainchild of Iliana Montealegre.
Dorothy Wawa and John Raffel are the co-founders who enjoy both ministerial experience, and a history of successfully leading various business ventures.

THE FOUNDER

Iliana Alvarado grew up in Mexico City and had the opportunity since her teen years to help orphanages in her birthplace. She experienced the misery of hundreds of children in the city. In return, she always got smiles and hugs from the children she helped. Iliana realized then that children were the most pure souls that could exist. And that if she could help them grow up with no resentments, they could keep that wonderful state of purity. She in one way or another helped children, but never had the opportunity to establish a Foundation that would help them in large numbers. Now she has that opportunity to provide them with the love and help every child in the world deserve. With the Foundation, she intends maximize donor’s donations in furtherance of this effort.

THE CO-FOUNDERS

Dorothy Wawa grew up in one of the poorest countries in the world: Haiti. As a youngster, she experienced closely the distress and neediness of the children less fortunate than herself. Out of her feelings of helplessness in front of such sufferings grew a seed of hope that one day she will actively alleviate these misfortunes.  She eventually made her way to come closer to the service of children by becoming an art teacher within the public school system in Miami-Dade County, USA.  When she met Iliana, and realized they had a common dream, she immediately knew that a Foundation was the obvious next step in helping more children around the globe.

John Raffel, synchronicity has provided him with an interesting life experience. He is a native New Yorker and practiced chemical engineering for 10 years. In order to affect people more directly, he turned to dentistry. For the past 25 years he has donated dental services to those in needs and participated in teaching activities. They say when the student is ready the teacher will come. When given the privilege of forming a Foundation to help given children the tools they need for the future, he jumped at the opportunity. Children are our future and they need our helping hand to prepare them for life’s challenges.
